How to remove stains from a concrete fireplace hearth?

My fireplace has a smooth cement type hearth which has developed a couple stains. One stain was from cleaning the soot covered glass insert. The other is from a wooden decoration which apparently had some pine pitch. I’ve tried the floor dry stuff that’s supposed to clean oil from your garage floor. No help there. Any ideas? Thanks. judson
