My ventless gas log fireplace won’t convert to full flame after the pilot is lit. What’s wrong with it?

I can light the pilot with the magnetic switch, but I can’t get the remote control or wall switch to actually get the logs burning. Is it the thermocouple? If so, how much do those cost?
